About the vessel

The ELEGANT was built as a sailing cargo ship in 1889 in the Dutch province South-Holland. That means she  can look back on more than 100 years of sailing adventure! In 1994 the vessel was converted in a comfortable sail training ship and has undergone  several modernisations afterwards. Sinds november 2017 the ELEGANT is part of our shipping company.

Up to 30 trainees can check in on longer trips with overnight stay. If you want to book a daytrip the ship is even licensed for 55 guests . In the summer month we enter the Baltic sea, where  we set sail from the beautiful German ports of Kappeln and Stralsund.  In the low season we enter the Netherlands coast. Starting our trips from the Frisian cities Harlingen or Workum we have the possibility to sail at the Ijsselmeer, Wadden Sea and even the North Sea.
